Purchasing Credits and Pricing

How do I purchase Message Credits?

Purchasing message credits is easy. Simply input the number of credits that you wish to purchase in the amount field. Then click on the Buy credits button located nearby. Once selected you will then be redirected to the purchase site where you need to enter all of your details. Alternatively you may bank transfer money for the purchase of credits to the SMS Bullet Bank account. Bank details are available once you have established an account and logged onto the SMS Bullet service.

Do my message credits expire?

Choose from a number of pre-paid credit plans that have a price / validity period to suit your needs. Details of all plans are advertised on the pricing page and the expiry date of credits printed on your tax invoice. The validity period for message credits starts from the day that you purchased credits. If a new purchase is made before the expiry date anniversary, the value of the remaining credits will be rolled over into the new purchase for use until the expiry date of any new plan chosen. At expiry, all credit is removed from an account.

Are there any start-up costs or other additional costs?

At SMS Bullet there are no hidden charges, no start-up costs, no long term contracts, and no support fees. The only charge is for the message credits you purchase.

Is there a refund policy?

We do not refund purchased credits but each case will be individually assessed. Please contact our support desk for assistance.

What if I want to purchase over $1000 worth of messages, or don't have a credit card?

Contact us via email with the specified amount and we will contact you within 24 hours, or supply you with our bank account details for a Funds transfer. See also the Bank transfer information page.

What is the ‘Default Origin’?

The message origin text is the ‘from’ header displayed on the recipients handset when the SMS is received. The default setting for the default origin is 'SMSBullet, however, you can customise this to your business name, own name, or even your own mobile phone number. If you are using a name, there must not be more than 11 characters used, and no spacing or punctuation should be used. Setting the default origin to your own mobile number will enable replies to the SMS sent from your SMS Bullet account, and these replies will be delivered to your handset.

What is the ‘Custom Origin’?

The Custom Origin option is for when you want to use an origin or senders name that differs to your default origin, without having to change your default. You can type in a different origin at the time of sending, and the message will be delivered with that text or number as the ‘sender’.

How do I receive replies to my messages?

You can use the ‘Receive Replies’ option at the time of sending. Simply check the ‘receive replies’ option before you click ‘send’. If you have set a customised default origin text and you use the receive replies option, your default origin will be overwritten with a GSM number owned by SMS Bullet. This number enables the reply path so that replies to your messages will be delivered to your ‘SMS Inbox’ onsite. You can also use your own mobile number as the default origin text to receive replies to your own handset. See the ‘What is Default Origin’ link in the FAQ for more information.

How do I enter an International number?

Use the country code without the leading '+' sign, and drop the leading '0' from the mobile number (if applicable). For example, the UK number 02072345678 becomes 442072345678.

Is there a limit to the amount of messages I can send each day?

Not at all. Just make sure that you don't run out of message credits by regularly topping up your account.

Can I re-send or edit a message I have sent previously?

No. A message once submitted for sending can not be changed. However, you can store messages in your ‘Predefined Messages’ section, so that you don’t have to type frequently used messages each time.

How can I view sent messages?

You can view pending, sent and any failed messages from your ‘SMS History’ link onsite. You can set the date range of where you want to search for each category, and the results will be displayed.

What if I am sending promotional/advertising or commercial material?

All users of SMS Bullet are required to abide by the terms and conditions, particularly when sending any messages of a commercial nature. There are 3 basic steps you should follow:
1 - Consent
Your commercial messages must only be sent when you have consent from the intended recipient. This consent from the person you wish to contact may be express permission via subscription or an ‘opt-in’ – a direct indication that they agree to receive messages of that nature. It is also possible to infer consent based on a business or other relationship with the person and their conduct.
2 - Identify
Your commercial messages must always contain clear and accurate identification of who is responsible for sending the message and how they can be contacted. This will generally be the name of the organisation that authorises the sending of the message either in the message origin text, or within the body of the text message. The message origin text can contain a mobile number, for example, you could use the ‘receive replies’ option at the time of sending, and identify the business or sender in the body of the text message. Or you could include a contact number in the body of the text message.
3 - Unsubscribe
Your commercial messages should contain an unsubscribe facility or an option to contact the sender to ‘opt-out’ of receiving these types of SMS in the future. Including a line of text in your commercial message such as (e.g.) “To opt out, reply Unsubscribe to this SMS”, or “Contact this number (include business number) to unsubscribe from these SMS”.

If you do not know why a message or messages failed, you are welcome to contact us. We will swiftly analyse the issue raised and report the cause and resolution back to you.

Why can’t I see the tracking status?
